Neocirrhites armatus or Flame Hawkfish is a protogynous hermaphrodite fish, which means that all fish are born with a female sex that can later turn into a male. Meanwhile, the way the flame hawkfish breeds is by the harem. For reproduction, this type of hawkfish will spawn near the surface in open water after dusk.
